A short hundredweight, also known as a cental, is a unit of weight commonly used in the United States and Canada.
It is equivalent to 100 pounds or approximately 45.36 kilograms.
The term "short" is used to distinguish it from the long hundredweight, which is used in the United Kingdom and equals 112 pounds.
